Full Time Business/Retail Management/Salon Management Trainer
Role Summary
Role Description
This role will be responsible for coordinating and delivering the following qualifications across our Sydney Metro operation. These courses are currently funded through the Productivity Places Program.
- Diploma Salon Management
- Diploma Business
- Diploma Management
- Diploma Retail Management
Duties and responsibilities of this role include
- Classroom based Diploma in Business and Diploma in Retail Management course for job seekers. These courses are being delivered at our Penrith training centre.
- Assist in coordination of 'existing worker' students who are completing the above courses through distance education, supported distance education, RPL or (if there is enough interest) through evening classes.
- Sole responsibility for managing students completing Diploma in Salon Management (all existing workers - we expect most will complete via Recognition of Prior Learning or through supported distance education)
- Assist in organising of work experience placements for job seeker trainees
- Assist in marketing of Diploma in Business course to Job Services Australia services or other networks to promote referrals to Job Seeker course
- Marketing of Diploma in Salon Management to hairdresser's throughout Sydney Metro (and beyond)
- Assisting in promotion and advertising of programs to promote maximum enrolments in program
- Maintaining student numbers in courses to help ensure maximum completion rates for students
- Development of training program to ensure quality learning outcomes for students
- Assisting in the coordination of any other Business/Retail/Hairdressing courses that may be delivered (ie Cert II,III,IV courses etc)
- General administrative, file keeping and training administration to ensure all training documentation meets auditable standards.
- Attendance at staff meetings, and meeting all other general administrative procedural requirements of the organisation.
Selection Criteria
Essential
- Must have Diploma (or higher) qualifications in Business/Management/Retail Management or Salon Management OR have demonstrated extensive experience that would be recognized as equivalent to one of these Diploma qualifications
- Must have experience in a range of Management or Retail Management or Salon Management settings
- Must have (or be willing to enrol immediately in) Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (Cert IV AWT also acceptable, but enrolment in upgrade to TAA will be required)
- Must have own transport and be able to transport workbooks or training materials when required
- Must have some experience in delivering training (including training staff)
Desirable
- Experience working with job seekers
